This is a photo of Janie’s birthday present to me. Its a map of Edinburgh from Germany in 1941.
Now, one might initially think why Germans in 1941 would want a map of Edinburgh, until you notice that the map is covered with little red marks indicating military and industrial bombing targets, transportation links, and the like.
